1. Menstrual bleeding.Tranexamic acid exerts its antifibrinolytic effect through the reversible blockade of lysine-binding sites on plasminogen molecules.Tranexamic acid inhibits endometrial plasminogen activator and thus prevents fibrinolysis and the breakdown of blood clots.
